sounds interesting!
The workshop held at EQUAL GROUND, was house full with 31 participants (Youth). it was more or less a stimulant for the participants to get a taste of the topics on Sexuality and gender issues too. the combination of discussions and games brought topics that we usually wouldn’t discuss in many forums. From what i felt from the group was they were very receptive and eager to learn and understand the situation around us and also had the sensitivities to accept those known LGBT in the group too. Many agreed (Evaluation) that LGBTIQ person should have the right to be ‘out’ and proud. it was reassuring that those present showed interest in taking the message across to their friends and family. it was stated that this workshop is only a stimulant for the participants to get more information as they go along. a topic as heavy and deep as this is not and easy one to cover in a few hours, but through the receptiveness of the participants and their eagerness to learn made it all the more interesting to facilitate.
What i would look forward to is that all participants would get involved more in this movement to better the world we live in, and free it from stigma and discrimination for “All” no matter – sexuality, Colour, Race, Religion, PLHIV, Socio-economic background.
Thanking all of you who attended the workshop and those who supported it in order for it to be the success it was.

I really like the way you relate to us that these issues are very sensitive and indeed thought provoking. I hope we will be able to relate that to whoever we speak 🙂
